Hello,
I'm a lease holder but I'm never happy with the way Hyde deal with anything.
I got my service charge letter in September and it was very high, so I asked for a break down of costs, as I really could not think of one thing that they had done. Still waiting, despite asking 2 more times!
I hope my windows and doors are not Hyde's responsibility, as I paid to have them all replaced when everyone else had theirs done in the block!
With regards to the ariel, I've also questioned this, as I have already got an ariel for Digital TV, so why would I want to pay £400 for another one? Mine's attached to my OWN property, so I'm at a loss as to why I'm being told this one would be taken down and replaced. I would say that if it belongs to me and is attached to my home, then no one else could touch it, just the same as I wouldn't expect anyone to pop into my kitchen and help themselves to a biscuit! And £400 for a replacement. What's the new one made out of? Gold???? I asked a couple of mates what they paid and £150 was the max.
I don't really consider TV to be an essential, in the current climate! Eating and clothing my children tend to come higher on the list. lol.
Any dealings I've ever had with Hyde have been traumatic, to say the least and nobody ever seems to know what they are doing.
I suppose the fact that for the 5 years + I've been a leaseholder, they haven't even got my name right, despite me telling them EVERY time what my actual name is but no, they still call me something completely different!
Still, it's entertaining, if nothing else!!!! (even though it does make me want to cry a little bit!)

Hi everyone, are there any lease holders out there, if so I would love to hear from you re: TV arials, doors and windows. I own a property in a block of flats and the doors and windows are hydes responsability, is anybody out there in the same boat?
