In the Budget speech last week Alistair Darling announced that buyers for properties under £250,000 won't pay Stamp Duty, provided it is the first property they buy. This will save first-time up to £2500 in up-front costs. If you were thinking of buying a home, will you try to take advantage of this tax break, or do you think it won't make much difference?

Tomorrow (24 March 2010) sees the Government announce its Budget for the year 2010/11. What would you like to see included in the Government’s spending plan? Should more money be spent on housing? What else would you prioritise?
