You’re invited to a very Big Lunch!
The Big Lunch is an intitiative to encourage as many people as possible in the UK to sit down and have lunch with their neighbours on Sunday 18th July - in the streets, car parks, gardens, almost anywhere where people can get together and have a meal with their neighbours. If this sounds like something you want to get involved in, please check out www.thebiglunch.com and their easy step-by-step guide.
Get in touch with the local TRA or residents' board, and talk to your neighbours - are they up for organising a Big Lunch event with you? Don't forget to talk to your local neighbourhood and resident involvement Hyde team - they can help with lots of different things, including applying for a road closure if you want to do the Big Lunch on your local street, telling other residents about it, getting cash for equipment and lots more.
