I would also like to encourage you all to get involved, i am also a resident who has been involved for a few years, there are many ways to get involved and influence the services and help improve things all round, its not hours of meetings there is a wide range of ways to get involved speak to your local office about resident involvement it really is interesting and always very pleasing when you have helped influence changes for the better.

Hi Squiresalison,
There are lots of different ways you can get involved either centrally or in your local office from completing surveys, to being part of a panel or even becoming a resident inspector. The best way to begin with, is to join the Hyde 5000, this is our panel of involved residents who act as a sounding board and get involved as they wish. Could you please email me at sarah.hyde@hyde-housing.co.uk and I will send you a pack to get a few more details from you on your interests and how you wish to be involved.
Thanks Sarah edited by sarah on 9/23/2010 edited by sarah on 9/23/2010

I would like to endorse Sarah's message. I'm a HydeMartlet resident who is involved and see first hand the difference resident involvement makes. If you don't like the service Hyde offers you, then get involved and make a difference. The service is only as good as the feedback we give, afterall, who else would know better than those that use it. So come on and make a difference... residents CAN and DO make a difference. Try it and see for yourself!

Hi, I'm sarah and I work for the new Central Resident Engagement team.
We are really keen for residents to get involved in helping to improve services. You can be involved as little or as much as you like from attending events, filling in the odd survey or sitting on one of our panels. You can even respond with posts via this online forum.
Do let me know if you would like to know more, you can call me on 0203 207 2767 or reply to my post.
